In honour of its 40th anniversary, a special edition of Bruce Springsteen’s 1984 album “Born In The U.S.A.” is set to be released next month. Springsteen’s seventh studio album was a landmark moment in his career as he incorporated synthesisers and a more pop-focused sound, which led to over 30 million copies being sold. The album boasts a collection of hit singles including “Dancing In The Dark,” “Glory Days,” “I’m On Fire,” and the title track. The re-release has exclusive features such as a translucent red vinyl, expanded packaging, archival material from the era, newly-penned liner notes by Springsteen archivist Erik Flannigan, and a four-color lithograph.
Along with the special edition release, a Springsteen biopic titled Deliver Me From Nowhere is in the works. The movie is set to be directed by Scott Cooper, who has also directed Crazy Heart, Black Mass, Antlers, and more. The lead role of Springsteen will be played by The Bear star Jeremy Allen White. The rocker is also said to be working actively on the project. Recently, the Variety reported that Jeremy Strong had joined the cast of Deliver Me From Nowhere playing the musician’s longtime manager, Jon Landau.

The Boss recently enlisted Tom Morello to help him perform “Open All Night” and “Sherry Darling” for the first time on this tour in April. Springsteen also made a cameo appearance in a recent episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm and released the career-spanning compilation Best Of Bruce Springsteen in April via Sony Music.
Mark Knopfler released the star-studded charity re-recording of “Going Home” recently, which starred major artists such as Queen’s Brian May, Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, and many more.
