Tomorrow, Fiona Harvey, who claims to be the person who inspired the character of Martha in Netflix’s hit show Baby Reindeer, will give her first TV interview. The show, which has topped the UK viewership charts for the past three weeks, is a semi-autobiographical series about a struggling comedian named Donny who is stalked and harassed by an older woman named Martha, who had already served over four years in prison for stalking.
Harvey, a Scottish lawyer, has come forward and dismissed Baby Reindeer as “a load of rubbish.” She has threatened legal action against Richard Gadd, the writer and star of the show, claiming that he defamed her. Despite her disapproval of the show, Harvey intends to set the record straight in her first interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored.
On Twitter, Morgan posted a photo of himself and Harvey with the caption “WORLD EXCLUSIVE The real-life Martha from Baby Reindeer breaks cover and gives me her first TV interview about the smash hit Netflix show. After the release of the show, some viewers tried to discover the real identities of characters in the show, including Martha and Donny’s abuser, Darrien. Gadd urged viewers to stop speculating, saying, “That’s not the point of our show.” Harvey has explained that Gadd needs to provide proof that she went to jail, which she claims never happened. According to Harvey, there are no restraining orders, injunctions, or interdicts in place, and she has not had any visits from law enforcement on the matter
