SM Entertainment has revealed that a number of K-pop acts will release new music in the third quarter of 2024. Among the artists expected to release new albums, mini-albums and singles are Taeyeon of Girls’ Generation, NCT 127 and Red Velvet’s Irene. The agency’s Earnings Release report for the first quarter of 2024 highlighted details of the planned line-up that includes full-length albums from Taeyeon and NCT 127.
It was also announced that other artists who are scheduled to release mini-albums are Chanyeol of EXO, Irene of Red Velvet, Jaehyun of NCT, Key of SHINee and boyband NCT Wish. Meanwhile, Chinese group WayV are also expected to drop their first Japanese mini-album in the third quarter of 2024. Other upcoming releases include singles from Hyoyeon’s solo project, NCT Dream’s English release, and Korean singles from NCT Wish.
Notably, SM Entertainment pushed back Hyoyeon’s upcoming solo single from the second to the third quarter, and announced new releases from Super Junior and NCT’s Mark for the second quarter of 2024. The agency also identified an album by aespa, mini-albums by Suho of EXO, Red Velvet, WayV and RIIZE, plus Japanese releases from NCT Dream and NCT Wish as part of the second quarter’s releases.
