Billy Corgan, the lead singer of the iconic American alternative rock band Smashing Pumpkins, will be fronting an eight-episode reality show. The series, called Billy Corgan’s Adventures In Carnyland, will follow the daily life of Corgan and will premiere on The CW on May 14. Fans of the band will get a behind-the-scenes look at not only Corgan’s life but also his family and wrestling career.
The show centers around Corgan’s involvement with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). Since 2017, Corgan has served as the president of the NWA and has dedicated himself to helping the Alliance regain its former glory. In the upcoming show, viewers will get an in-depth look at this aspect of Corgan’s life as well as his other endeavors. The lead singer juggles his responsibilities running a band and managing the wrestlers at Carnyland while also being a father and planning his wedding to longtime partner Chloe.
The show was directed by Volk-Weis and Ian Roumain, with executive production by the two directors, Corgan, his wife Chloe Mendel, Cisco Henson, and Benjamin J. Frost. The media firm Nacelle Company, owned by Volk-Weis, is producing the show.
The Smashing Pumpkins are set to embark on a headline tour with Weezer this summer in the UK and Ireland. The tour includes a show at The O2 in London. Additionally, the band will hit the road for a North American tour in July. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster.
