Britney Spears says she “might have to get surgery” after injuring her ankle

Britney Spears suffered a “twisted ankle” last week while at the Los Angeles hotel, Chateau Marmont. She stated that she was trying to perform a leap in her living room when the injury occurred. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, paramedics were sent to the hotel after a call was placed at 12:42 a.m. on May 2. Reports also emerged claiming that there was some sort of disturbance, and paparazzi photos showed Spears outside with rumored boyfriend Paul Richard Soliz, draped in a blanket and holding a pillow.

There were some rumors that the incident may have been a physical altercation with her boyfriend. However, the singer took to Instagram to dispel those rumors and said they were “fake.” In her latest post, Spears gave an update on her ankle injury. She wrote that some “shit actually has happened to my foot and I might have to get surgery … fingers crossed, hopefully not.” Spears also commented on the Paparazzi photos and mentioned that she felt gaslit and tricked when they were taken. She claimed that she was in her pajamas and had been crying because she hurt her foot.

This event occurred a few hours after Rolling Stone reported that the singer had reached a divorce settlement with her ex-husband, Sam Asghari. Spears was married to Asghari for seven years before the couple announced their separation in September 2021. Furthermore, the incident occurred after Spears claimed that she is “left” to pay for $2 million in legal fees following her conservatorship battle. The singer has been at the center of a highly publicized court case surrounding her conservatorship, which she has been under since 2008.

As for her injury, it seems that Spears will need to keep her fingers crossed and hope that surgery is not required. In the meantime, fans worldwide wish her a speedy recovery
