Seattle rock band Pearl Jam had their world tour debut at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena on May 4, 2024. They performed various tracks from their twelfth studio album, Dark Matter, to an elated crowd. The high-energy concert kicked off their forthcoming world tour, with the next stop in North America for the rest of May before heading to Europe and the UK the following month.

The band played 25 songs, including nine tracks from Dark Matter, with seven making their live performance debut. Matt Cameron, the drummer, even added ‘Leatherman’ to the setlist upon request. The band also performed fan-favorites such as ‘Alive’ and ‘Black’, as well as covers of Mother Love Bone’s ‘Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns’, ‘Rockin’ in the Free World’ by Neil Young, and ‘I Won’t Back Down’ by Tom Petty.

NME said Dark Matter is some of their “strongest work in years,” giving it four stars in the album review. The album is Pearl Jam reclaiming their classic sound mixed with impressive musicianship and a willingness to take risks. Eddie Vedder, the band’s lead singer, has said he believes they have one or two more good records left in them after the success of Dark Matter.

Pearl Jam has announced a tour across North America, Europe, and the UK to celebrate their new album. The tour dates were announced in February 2024 and include a stop at Manchester’s Co-Op Live on June 25th and London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 29th following Dublin’s Marlay Park on June 22.
