Police have arrested two more individuals in relation to a burglary in Whaley Bridge, Derbyshire during which two men were shot. A man in his thirties has been taken into custody on suspicion of conspiracy to commit burglary and another man, in his late teens, has been arrested on suspicion of assisting the perpetrator. According to reports, the burglary took place in Eccles Road at approximately 01:20 BST on Wednesday and resulted in the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Marcus Smith.
Police have also taken a farmer in his fifties into custody in relation to the incident under suspicion of attempted murder and murder. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
