Ayra Starr announces sophomore album, ‘The Year I Turned 21’

Ayra Starr’s sophomore album, named ‘The Year I Turned 21’, has been announced. The album is set to be released via Mavin Records on May 31st. The songstress shared the album’s artwork, tracklist and release date to her fans over social media last night.

The album features collaborations with Asake, Anitta and Coco Jones, Giveon, Seyi Vibez and Milar. These collaborations will add to the album’s 14 tracks which have already been previewed in singles such as ‘Rhythm & Blues’ and ‘Commas’, released last year and in February 2021, respectively.

At the start of April, Ayra Starr teamed up with Rvssian and Rauw Alejandro for ‘Santa’ and with Aya Nakamura in March to release ‘Hypé’. Her debut album ‘19 & Dangerous’, released in 2021, also received a four-star review from NME.
