House Of Protection: Former Fever 333 members and Jordan Fish talk launching a “new era”

Former members of the band Fever 333, Aric Improta and Stephen “Stevis” Harrison, have launched their new band House of Protection. Their debut single, “It’s Supposed To Hurt,” was produced by Jordan Fish and released on Red Bull Records. The duo’s blend of punk, electronic music, and hardcore is showcased in the song, which Improta revealed was the first piece that he and Harrison wrote together. The lyrics reference the painful and uncomfortable experiences associated with starting something new and worthwhile, a sentiment that the band took to heart as they ventured out after departing from their previous group.

The band’s chemistry is unmistakable, despite their different upbringings and experiences in music. House of Protection was meant to feel like a group of close friends in high school. This type of collaboration is often instrumental in crafting unique and authentic music that can resonate with audiences. Additionally, the band’s sound is inspired by a variety of artists, including The Prodigy, Alice Glass, Cocteau Twins, and Sleigh Bells – a mix of influences that emphasizes their desire to create a sound that is not limited by genre.

Fish, a close friend of the duo, helped produce “It’s Supposed To Hurt” in the summer of 2023 after finishing his time with Bring Me The Horizon. He mentioned that he was attracted to the chemistry of the band and felt welcome in the fold. Fish is known for bringing in broader influences and colors to his work, something that resonated with House of Protection. The two sounded like candy, he said, and projects like theirs are why he loves his job.

House of Protection is releasing more music and planning tour dates in the near future. The band is thrilled to be embarking on a new era and will undoubtedly continue garnering fans with their infectious chemistry and unique blend of musical influences
