Slipknot has revealed the details for homecoming Knotfest Iowa 2024, which will feature Rammstein’s Till Lindemann along with Knocked Loose and a number of other bands. The event, which is set to mark Slipknot’s 25th anniversary, will occur for one night on 21 September 2024, at Water Works Park in Des Moines. In addition to the aforementioned musician and bands, other artists confirmed to participate include Vended, Swollen Teeth, Zulu, Holy Wars, Dose, and Twin Temple, among others.

Ticket sales for the one-night event will begin with a pre-sale that will start on 30 April and will be followed by general ticket sales starting on 3 May. Customers can enjoy options such as VIP packages, ticket upgrades, and excursions. More information can be found on the Knotfest website.

Meanwhile, Slipknot recently played at Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas with their classic original masks and red boiler suits for a career-spanning setlist. Prior to that, the band performed their first gig with their new drummer at Pappy + Harriet’s barbecue bar located in Pioneertown, California. Slipknot’s new drummer, still yet to be named, took over from Jay Weinberg late last year. Fans suggest that former Sepultura percussionist Eloy Casagrande is the new drummer, but the band has yet to confirm this.

NME travelled to Melbourne in 2023 to take part in Knotfest and provided a four-star review. Slipknot’s Clown told the publication that Knotfest would debut in Australia so that Slipknot could “burn down [our] brainwashed philosophy” and indoctrinate us with their own. The three sold-out editions of the festival suggest it is inevitable for Knotfest to return Down Under in 2024.

Slipknot will perform in a series of European cities later this year as part of their Knotfest Roadshow tour. The tour will take place in eastern Europe before concluding on 26 June at the Graspop Metal Meeting festival in Dessel, Belgium. They will also perform at the Aftershock Festival on 8 October in Sacramento, California
