American rock band Vampire Weekend delivered a surprise performance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 27th. During the set, the band performed covers of two iconic tracks by Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. Vampire Weekend performed the Dylan deep cut ‘When He Returns’ and Springsteen’s hit ‘Hungry Heart’, delighting the audience with something entirely unexpected.

Fans of the band and those in attendance at the festival have praised them for their rendition of these iconic tracks. Vampire Weekend released their fifth studio album ‘Only God Was Above Us’ earlier this month, with a slew of performances also lined up to support the album.

The band is scheduled to perform at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Luton next month and is slated to appear at other festivals throughout the season, including performances at Primavera Sound, Kilby Block Party, and Hinterland. The band made a last-minute appearance at the first weekend of Coachella 2024, where they were joined on stage by Paris Hilton
