Irish band, Fontaines D.C. have announced additional tour dates for their upcoming ‘Romance’ tour in 2024. The tour is in support of their fourth album, ‘Romance’ that is scheduled for release on August 23, 2022, via XL Recordings. Due to high demand, the band has added three more shows to their UK and Ireland tour, including a second show at Alexandra Palace in London on November 23 and two more shows at Aviva Studios in Manchester, bringing their total to three.
Tickets for the tour will be available for purchase on April 26 at 10 am BST from Ticketmaster. The tour kicks off from Wolverhampton’s The Halls on November 20 and will conclude with a show in Dublin on December 6. In addition to their headline tour, Fontaines D.C. will be performing at various festivals across the season.
Fontaines D.C’s ‘Romance’ has been produced by James Ford, who has also worked with Arctic Monkeys, Foals, and Depeche Mode, to name a few. The highly anticipated album has already been previewed by the lead single, ‘Starbuster’ that NME describes as “a pensive art-rock beast that fuses elements of electronica and hip-hop”.
The album consists of 11 tracks, including the singles ‘Romance’ and ‘Here’s The Thing’. The debut album of Fontaines D.C., ‘Dogrel’ (2019), was widely successful and won the accolade of Album of the Year at the 2020 Irish Choice Music Prize. Fans are now eagerly waiting for ‘Romance’ to be released.
