AURORA has opened up about a unique collaboration with one half of the Chemical Brothers, Tom Rowlands. In an interview with NME, the Norwegian alt-pop artist spoke about her upcoming album, “What Happened To The Heart?”, and how it has been a fun and playful experience working with people she admires. AURORA revealed, “We feel like two little aliens walking around, and we have the same hunger for something exceptional.”

The article goes on to state that AURORA texted Rowlands one evening and asked him to “puke vomit all over my song please”. To her amazement, he did just that, for four hours straight. This is not the first collaboration between AURORA and the Chemical Brothers. The two worked together on the Chemical Brothers’ 2019 album, “No Geography”. During that same year, AURORA shared a story with NME about Tom Rowlands’ daughter’s birthday party where she got lost in the woods and left the duo “a little shook up”.

“What Happened To The Heart?” is set to release on June 7, via multiple record labels. The album marks the first LP for AURORA since her 2022 release, “The Gods We Can Touch”. The article also mentions that other collaborators featured on the album include Ane Brun, Matias Tellez, Chris Greatti, Dave Hamelin, Magnus Skylstad, and others. Fans can pre-order “What Happened To The Heart?” on AURORA’s official website.

In addition, AURORA has announced an upcoming UK and European tour for later this year.
