British singer-songwriter Kate Nash has released a new single titled “Space Odyssey 2001”. The song will appear on her first studio album in six years titled, ‘9 Sad Symphonies’, which is set to release on June 21st under Kill Rock Stars label. In the song, Nash speaks about her first date with her present partner, as well as criticizes their movie selection. She said, “I like that there’s this beautiful love song, but it’s also complaining about this critically acclaimed film being too long. I don’t recommend it for a first date!”
Nash spoke about the production of the video for ‘Space Odyssey 2001’, which she directed herself, stating that it was inspired by musical theater and her love of horror. She also explained how the video represents emotional trauma. The songstress will play two upcoming headline shows in London and has scheduled concert dates for 2024, including festivals such as Glastonbury, Kendal Calling, and Boardmasters.
“9 Sad Symphonies” marks Nash’s first album in six years and will contain ten tracks, including “Millions Of Heartbeats,” which she released earlier. Her last album, “Yesterday Was Forever,” was released in 2018
