A young boy, aged four, has passed away from injuries sustained in a house fire that occurred in Warrington Road, Wigan, early morning on Sunday. A man was killed in the blaze too, according to officials at Greater Manchester Police (GMP). Locals say that the two victims were father and son. Four other persons who reside in the house have been treated for injuries as well. Detective Inspector Lee Gridley of the GMP noted that the incident was a devastating one, with the little boy having had his whole life ahead of him. “Together with the earlier death, this is a tragedy for the Wigan community and I know that many people will be shocked by this heartbreaking news,” he said.
