David Bowie brushing Patsy Kensit’s hair was the “most erotic experience” of her life, according to The Times. Kensit was 16 years-old and a massive fan when she starred alongside Bowie in the 1986 film Absolute Beginners. Despite being “completely in awe” of him, Kensit was disappointed when she was only able to shake hands with the famous singer. But, she later had an intimate experience with Bowie on set. “He came over, picked up a brush and just started brushing my hair. He didn’t say anything – he just brushed it, then walked away. It was the most erotic experience of my life,” Kensit explained.

Absolute Beginners was not a box office success but Bowie’s title track reach number two in the British charts. In other Bowie news, a limited edition, half-speed mastered LP was released recently of his classic album Diamond Dogs to mark its 50th anniversary. The LP and a picture disc LP pressed from the same master were released in May via Parlophone. A new ‘Ziggy Stardust’-era Bowie album will also be released for Record Store Day. The album is a collection of recordings from Trident Studios in 1971 of songs that would largely go on to form the legendary 1972 album. This collection of songs is called ‘Waiting In The Sky (Before The Starman Came To Earth)’ and will be available on Record Store Day, which is being held on April 20.
