Newcastle’s Loris Karius and fiancée reportedly denied entry to Berghain over fashion choice

Loris Karius, the goalkeeper of Newcastle United, and his fiancée Diletta Leotta were reportedly stopped from entering Berghain because of Leotta’s yellow coat. According to Bild, the couple attempted to enter the nightclub during a recent trip to Berlin, but were unsuccessful. Leotta is quoted as saying “I told you that I want to go to Berghain, this very famous nightclub, where there is a very strict admission control.” However, she believes she was turned away because of her “beautiful yellow coat” and “radiant smile.”

While Berghain does not have a dress code, people are thought to be more likely to get in if they wear black. It is unusual for the bouncers to give reasons for rejections, so it’s hard to say why Karius and Leotta couldn’t enter the club. It is speculated that Karius made the mistake of persuading Leotta to go in first, and that girls usually have more chances of getting in than boys.

Leotta is said to have been upset, as she had never been rejected before. However, she is not the first celebrity to have been turned away by Berghain’s infamous bouncers. Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, took to Twitter in 2022 to criticise Berghain after reportedly being rejected by the staff. He said “They wrote PEACE on the wall at Berghain! I refused enter.”

Berghain is known for being an exclusive club, with a reputation for being difficult to get into. It is also known for its hedonistic parties, where anything goes. Despite its reputation, it remains hugely popular, with people from around the world eager to experience the thrill of getting past the bouncers and into the club
