Check out Say Lou Lou’s sultry new single ‘Dust’ and new EP

Say Lou Lou, the Swedish/Australian duo, have released their new single and EP titled “Dust”. The twins released the video for its title track on April 12. The video features the twins dancing seductively alongside a model. The EP ‘Dust’ is the first part of an unknown series of EPs. The EP captures the various steps of a break up; mourning, anger, remorse, and forgiveness.

Say Lou Lou described Dust as “a candid collection of songs that chronicle various steps of a break up; mourning, anger, remorse and forgiveness.” The album captures the motions of being in a relationship, being out of it, being under someone else, and finally, being over it. The twins speak candidly about love in the album, describing how it always looks clearer in the rearview mirror.

The new EP comes on the heels of a review of their last album, ‘Immortelle,’ which garnered four stars from NME. In it, the twins speak of breaking free from boundaries and expectations. Something that has not been easy for them as they are often judged based on their appearance. “We love to assume that women who look a certain way are a certain way,” explains Miranda Kilbey. However, their music reveals that they have a lot more to say.

Previously, Say Lou Lou previewed the ‘Dust’ EP with ‘Wong Kar-Wai‘ last February and ‘Waiting For A Boy‘ in January. Say Lou Lou was inspired by Wong Kar-wai as he is known for creating films that reflect longing and mystery while capturing chance encounters. The twins said they drew inspiration from wishing they were somewhere else, not here, anywhere – that love was like a film, a dream, anything but this tired, sad reality.

‘Dust’ is a sultry and candid collection of songs that will pull at the heartstrings of anyone listening to it. Fans will be delighted that Say Lou Lou continues to articulate their feelings in a masterful and beautiful way.
