The Hills Of California, a play written by Jez Butterworth, was nominated for best new play and Seeta Patel’s adaptation of The Rite Of Spring at Sadler’s Wells received a nomination for best new dance production.
The awards come at a challenging time for the theatre industry, which has been hit hard by the pandemic. The event was held in compliance with strict COVID-19 safety protocols, with the live audience reduced from the usual 3,000 to under 500 guests.
