The late Jimmy Buffett was honored with a tribute concert at the Hollywood Bowl titled “Keep the Party Going: A Tribute to Jimmy Buffett”. The concert took place on April 11th with numerous famous musicians appearing, including Sheryl Crow, Brandi Carlile, Zac Brown, Jon Bon Jovi, and Buffett’s band The Coral Reefer Band. Dave Grohl introduced the legendary Paul McCartney to the stage, where he spoke to the crowd about Buffett’s character, “He was generous, he was funny, he’d done just about everything in his life.”

Could not move my fingers.” He then added “My lead guitar playing career melted at that moment and I said, ‘Well, I’m not doing this again. I’m not cut out for this. I’m no good.’” Last week, McCartney commented on Beyoncé’s cover of his song “Blackbird”, commending her for using it to “ease racial tension.”

Additionally, an artwork that was banned for being “too unflattering” in its depiction of McCartney is heading to auction
