The Lathums announce intimate UK warm-up shows ahead of huge Wigan Park gig

UK band The Lathums are set to play three intimate shows in July. The first show will be at Sunderland’s Fire Station on July 12th. The following day they will head to Keele University in Stoke, before making their final stop in July 18th at Asylum at Hull University. Tickets for all three shows go on sale on April 12th and can be found online.

These three shows will precede the band’s previously announced hometown show on July 19th in Wigan, where they will be joined by Jake Bugg and Brooke Combe. Following this series of shows, they will also appear at Portsmouth’s Victorious Festival in August and Liam Gallagher’s Malta Weekender in September.

The Lathums’ second album ‘From Nothing To A Little Bit More’ was released in March of last year and achieved a second Number One LP in the UK album charts. They followed up with standalone single ‘Thoughts Of A Child’ in October 2023. Speaking about the single, frontman Alex Moore said: “We’ve all been told before that we, for some reason, aren’t good enough. We don’t look a certain way or our interests are futile and unachievable. Then, one day, something or someone just turns your world the right way up.”

Moore added: “What’s the point in putting so much into something that you’re not genuinely passionate about? I think it’s quite refreshing that people can see that there’s genuine feelings behind these songs, not like a lot of music that’s out nowadays that’s got no emotion or substance behind it.
