50 Cent reacts to J. Cole apologising for Kendrick Lamar diss: “Call my phone right now”

J. Cole made headlines last week for his latest track “7 Minute Drill” where he dissed Kendrick Lamar in response to a line from the latter’s verse on “Like That” from Future and Metro Boomin’s 2021 joint album, “We Don’t Trust You”. While performing at Dreamville Festival, J. Cole regretfully admitted that “7 Minute Drill” was the “lamest shit” he had ever done in his life. He further explained that while he wanted to “jab” back at K-Dot, he did so in a friendly manner. J. Cole then asked Kendrick Lamar to forgive him and called his shot, saying he could “take that shit on the chin.”

50 Cent posted a video of J. Cole’s apology on Instagram and captioned it wondering how he missed this. He then urged the rapper to call him via a telephone emoji. It is worth noting that 50 Cent has been part of several rap feuds over the years, one of which has been with fellow New Yorker, Ja Rule, for over two decades. 50 brought J. Cole out at the New York stop of his “The Final Lap” tour last year, where Cole called 50’s debut album, “Get Rich Or Die Tryin’”, the best of all time.

J. Cole surprised rap fans by releasing his mixtape “Might Delete Later” last week, making headlines due to his diss towards Kendrick Lamar in the closing track “7 Minute Drill”. Kendrick Lamar has yet to respond to the track or J. Cole’s recent apology. Meanwhile, Drake, who was also mentioned in Cole’s track, seemingly replied to Lamar’s verse in “Like That” while on tour with Cole. The two are currently on their “It’s All A Blur – Big As the What?” tour.

It is interesting to note that while J. Cole’s track was making headlines for its diss towards Kendrick, he was also making news for another reason. J. Cole has been playing professional basketball for the Basketball Africa League (BAL). He signed with Rwanda’s Patriots in May and is scheduled to play with them in the BAL’s inaugural season, which started on May 16
