Dour Festival is coming to London in May

The Dour Festival of Belgium has recently announced that it will hold a smaller edition of its regular five-day event on May 24 at London’s Village Underground. The collaboration is with Warmer People and will feature headline performances by Dr. Rubinstein and Yazzus. Other artists such as DC Salas b2b Sara Dziri, and Dour Soundsystem b2b Nathan Colinet will also be featured at the event.

Dour Festival booker Mathieu Fonsny said that the event is “important” for the festival given the UK fan base. The organizers are hoping to use music as a means to “bridge the gap” between EU and UK post-Brexit.

Warmer People’s Thom Grant and Nathan Colinet acknowledged their participation and how it highlighted the relevance of electronic music events for Belgium. This recognition validates the place of electronic music in the UK’s cultural landscape and sets a great precedent for other institutions.
