The Sziget festival, held on Budapest’s Óbudai-sziget island from August 7-12, has announced the second wave of acts for its upcoming 2024 event. With a reputation as one of Europe’s biggest festivals, Sziget attracts a diverse range of international performers, and this year is no different. The six-day festival will feature performances from artists such as Martin Garrix, Stormzy, and Fred again…

Other artists have been announced in this second wave, including Skrillex, Raye, Modeselektor, Tkay Maidza, Marc Rebillet, Loco Dice, and more. This year’s festival boasts a strong electronic presence, reflecting previous editions. Artistic diversity is one of the features of the Sziget festival annually, which hosts performances in more than 50 areas. Reflecting on this diversity, CEO Tamás Kádár said, “Sziget will feature big world stars, current artists, and newly discovered musical specialities, so that everyone will be offered a strong and exciting selection of music, regardless of genre.”

The festival is home to a rich arts programme alongside music, including theatre, cabaret, and comedy. Sziget was named among the “World’s Greenest Festivals” at the beginning of the year by A Greener Future (AGF) which assesses the events handling of waste, travel, energy, and EDI. Additionally, Sziget was recipient of the “Line-Up of the Year” award, presented by the European Festival Awards 2023, which marked the festival’s 30th anniversary headed by David Guetta.

Tickets for the festival are already available, priced between €75 for a day pass to €229 to attend all six days. The Sziget festival is one of the most exciting festivals in Europe, showcasing various talents from different backgrounds. It is a delightful experience for music fans, and attendees can rest assured in knowing that Sziget focuses on the environment as much as it does on entertainment
