Leeds band English Teacher have announced their UK headline tour for this winter. The five-date tour will commence on November 12 at the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London, with follow-up shows in Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, and Bristol. Tickets for the shows will go on sale to the general public at 10 am BST on April 12th. Fans can also buy tickets via the pre-sale by pre-ordering the band’s debut album ‘This Could be Texas’.
The band promised to step up their live shows’ size and scale, stating, “We’re not going to stop until Madison Square Gardens is but a speck of dust on our musical machine.” They will perform at Bearded Theory, Truck Festival, and Boardmasters festivals this summer before embarking on a tour of the UK and Ireland.
English Teacher’s debut album ‘This Could Be Texas’ will release next week, on April 12th. The album promises to reflect where the band is now, with diverse sounds and huge ballads. Drummer Douglas Frost recalled how playing at the Glastonbury festival made the band “feel more confident in themselves.” He added that it was a fresh lease of life returning to the stage after lockdown.
