HBO’s popular show, “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” has just aired its ninth episode, featuring a cameo appearance from musician, Bruce Springsteen. The episode shows Springsteen meeting with the show’s creator and lead actor, Larry David, to discuss David’s recent antics in Atlanta. David’s fictional character is currently facing trial in Georgia for giving water to a voter outside of a polling place, an act that is currently outlawed in the state.
During their conversation, David confesses that he may have given Springsteen Covid due to a water glass debacle, which leads to the rockstar cancelling his farewell shows. This storyline is a parody of Springsteen’s 2023 tour, during which he had to play a stripped back show in Dallas due to three of his band members testing positive for Covid.
In addition to his appearance, Springsteen also admits to avoiding calls from Eagles frontman, Don Henley, after listening to “two seconds” of an album Henley sent him and hating it. The episode has received positive reactions on social media, with fans praising the appearance of the legendary musician.
David caught flak for his storyline on Georgia’s polling laws, with Republican congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene criticising him for mocking Trump supporters in the episode. Despite this, David has continued to make headlines with his controversial antics both on and off screen. This final season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” has been confirmed to be the show’s last, with David stating that he will finally shed his “Larry David” persona and become the considerate human being he was meant to be
