Alternative rock band, Smashing Pumpkins, just announced their massive tour schedule for North America. The band, fronted by Billy Corgan, made the announcement last night via their social media. This tour follows their UK and Europe tour earlier this year, where they went on stage with Weezer, Interpol, Tom Morello, and another as-yet-unnamed act. Aside from their own headline shows, the tour will also include appearances from Green Day on The Saviors tour, and other festival appearances. Pvris and The Glorious Sons will be their support acts at certain select dates.
Smashing Pumpkins will start their tour at the end of July through August before closing off in late September. The band has a list of stops planned, with big cities such as Washington, Montreal, Hershey, Chicago, Des Moines, and Los Angeles on the list. The full schedule of the tour is posted on their official website, with tickets going on sale to the general public on April 5, at 10am local time via their website.
Devoted fans already have the chance to purchase tickets as early as April 2 through an artist pre-sale. This pre-sale applies to all shows for the North American Tour starting at 10am local time. The passcode for the artist pre-sale is “VAMPIRE”.
