Actor Chance Perdomo, known for his roles in shows like Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina and Gen V, has died aged 27. Perdomo was killed in a motorcycle accident, according to a statement issued by his publicist on March 30. No other individuals were involved in the crash, the statement added.
Perdomo had recently appeared in the spin-off to Prime Video series The Boys. In Gen V, he played Andre, a student at a university founded by Vought International, where superheroes are permitted to train their powers. The producers of the show issued a statement expressing their devastation at the actor’s sudden passing, calling him “an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person.”
Perdomo won the award for Best Actor at the 2019 Bafta TV awards for his role in BBC Three drama Killed By My Debt. He studied law at university after leaving school and began his acting career in 2017 with a part in CBBC series, Hetty Feather.
Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television, which also produces Gen V, have extended their condolences to Perdomo’s family and colleagues, while production on the show’s second season has been halted.
