Indie-pop trio London Grammar announced that they will be releasing a new single titled “House” on April 5th. The announcement came via the band’s social media pages, where they shared the cover art and the release date for the upcoming track. Fans can pre-save/pre-add the single by visiting a specified link on the band’s social media pages.
This news follows the band’s release of a brief snippet of new music on March 20th, which was captioned, “A small glimpse of what’s to come.” Later on, the band shared a section of the “House” artwork along with a behind-the-scenes studio photo. Their most recent studio album, “Californian Soil,” was released in 2021, and last summer, the band collaborated with CamelPhat on a single titled “Higher.”
Band member Dot Major, who recently launched a solo career, revealed in an interview with NME that London Grammar is “definitely getting there” with their next project. In 2022, Dan Rothman confirmed in an interview with NME that the band has been working on their fourth album throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. He stated, “There’s a lot of writing that’s been done, and I think then you sort of get to that position of whittling it down, and getting into the nitty-gritty of production.”
London Grammar is set to headline Latitude Festival 2024 alongside Kasabian and Duran Duran. They are also scheduled to perform at Glastonbury 2024, which will be headlined by Coldplay, Dua Lipa, and SZA. The band achieved their second UK Number One album with “Californian Soil” and received critical acclaim for its energy and lyricism
