The new Mechanical Mayhem update is now live in LEGO Fortnite, and it’s introducing three new vehicles into the game for players to utilise: the speeder, offroader and hauler.
The speeder is perfect for getting around biomes quickly and is a small one-seater vehicle like a quad bike. Players can unlock the recipe for it by adding a power cell to their inventory for the first time.
The offroader has four seats and a roof, ideal for transporting multiple players over longer distances. To unlock its recipe, players will need to add flexwood to their inventory for the first time. The third addition is the hauler, a six-wheeler truck with four seats in the front and a flatbed at the rear.
Given LEGO Fortnite’s day-night cycle, maintaining the avatar’s temperature while travelling long distances can be challenging; however, these vehicles will make it easier for players to get around. Moreover, players can create their vehicles, as long as they have required vehicle parts such as engines, wheels, and a driver’s seat.
To fuel these vehicles, players must convert biomass into resources in a composter and then change that into a power cell. Other updates included in this patch are a smart transfer feature that allows the transfer of similar objects from storage quickly. You can check out the full list of patch notes here.
In other news, an Escape From Tarkov streamer has voiced his displeasure with the game, stating that developers have “fallen asleep at the wheel.” The criticism has been met with support from other frustrated fans
