Modest Mouse have announced that they will be reissuing their critically acclaimed album, ‘Good News For People Who Love Bad News’, to mark its 20th anniversary. The release will include eight additional remixes created by esteemed artists including MGMT’s Andrew VanWyngarden, Jacknife Lee, Dan the Automator, and Justin Raisen. As part of the announcement, the band has shared a new remix of the song ‘Ocean Breathes Salty’ by Poolside.
The expanded digital edition will be available on April 5th, while the vinyl reissue is set to come out on May 17th. Additionally, the band will release a special double LP version of the album featuring an alternative cover, an eight-page booklet, and five of the new remixes.
Originally released on April 6, 2004, ‘Good News For People Who Love Bad News’ features Modest Mouse’s hit song ‘Float On’.
Modest Mouse also shared a reissued video for their song ‘The World At Large/Stiff Animal Fantasy’. Lead singer Isaac Brock co-directed the video with Jason Foster. It was previously only available on a version of ‘Good News’ that was released on DualDisc in the mid-2000s.
