Flavor Flav has announced that he plans to earn his high school diploma in a reality TV show. The rap legend recently confirmed the news to TMZ that he never lost hope of acquiring a diploma despite his success with Public Enemy. He explained that he is returning to high school for the sake of the show, and he wants to obtain his real diploma instead of taking the GED exam.
Flav stated that he understands the curriculum has changed since he last went to school and said that he would adapt to it to get the diploma. He first became a reality TV star when he participated in MTV’s The Surreal Life in 2003. He earned a spin-off show called Strange Love with then-wife Danish model and actress Brigitte Nielsen. Flav then had his own dating competition show called Flavor Of Love, which has now become a cultural phenomenon.
During the same chat with TMZ, Flav revealed his admiration for Billie Eilish. He met the 22-year-old at an Oscars afterparty and rewarded her with a pink Barbie clock chain when she won the 2023 single ‘What Was I Made For?’ from the Barbie soundtrack. Flav also expressed his willingness to collaborate with Eilish in the future, adding that he loves her music.
