A motorcyclist has sustained serious injuries after he was thrown from his bike and fell over a bridge following a collision with a car in Milton Keynes. The incident occurred on 19 November, and the authorities have since disclosed that the driver of the offending vehicle, Nikesh Mistry, 34, had caused the misfortune by forcing the bike rider onto the wrong side of the carriageway after a non-verbal disagreement when exiting Walton Roundabout.
As a result of the crash, the motorbike was pushed against the bridge railings, ejecting the rider, who fell over the edge. Subsequentially, the car collided with another headed in the opposite direction. All parties suffered injuries, and while the driver of the bike was immediately airlifted to the hospital, passengers in the other vehicles were transported in ambulances.
Following investigations into the accident, Mistry, who resides in Groundsel Close, Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes, pleaded guilty to two counts of causing serious injury due to dangerous driving and one count of intent to either cause or cause grievous bodily harm. He was handed a prison sentence of four years and ten months, and his driver’s licence will be reinstated only after he passes an extended driving test.
