Yungblud has announced that he will be hosting his own festival this summer, BludFest, at the Milton Keynes Bowl. The event will take place on Sunday, August 11, followed by a packed lineup including Soft Play, Nessa Barrett, The Damned, Lola Young and many others. Fans will also be able to see recent collaborator Lil Yachty in a headline set.
Beyond the music, the event will feature a ‘Make A Friend’ tent, free photobooths, a Yungblud museum, and a recreation of Camden’s iconic The Hawley Arms, where the artist loves to go. When Yungblud was asked how he felt about headlining the Milton Keynes Bowl, he said: “Wow! What the fuck? That’s the fucking mad, isn’t it? BludFest is happening! I’m launching my own festival. I had the idea to do it last November. I just had fucking insomnia one night and thought, ‘What’s the next thing we can do that is really a staple and just pushes the boundaries?'”
Yungblud plans to make BludFest stand out as something unique to the UK, a place where people can come together and be themselves with their friends, family, or alone. He said: “If people don’t know who you really are and you’re hiding it, come to fucking BludFest and do it.” Looking towards the future, he hopes to eventually take this festival worldwide.
Tickets for BludFest will be available from 10 am on Friday, March 22. Yungblud expects that it will be like nothing anyone has seen before, a physical manifestation of himself. He noted that it is his goal to put everything he has into this event to provide the best possible experience for his fans
