Video of gig photographer narrowly dodging guitar thrown at him goes viral

A metal band guitarist has gone viral due to a video where he threw his guitar to a photographer, rather than his guitar tech. American DJ and heavy metal musician Sullivan King shared the footage on his official TikTok page. In the clip, the photographer narrowly dodged the guitar with his camera in hand, whilst King looks at him and raises his arms. The band’s annoyed guitar tech comes out to grab the guitar from the ground. Fans found the moment hilarious and took to the comments to react.

The caption of the viral video read, “0 days without incident on the job site.” One individual joked in a comment, “He was like ‘THIS IS NOT WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR!!!'” Another joked, “One of my cameras and lens is about 7 grand. I would let the guitar fly too lol.” Despite the initial shock, Sullivan King shared a follow-up video on the social media platform, highlighting that there was no animosity between him and the photographer.

In the new video, the photographer was able to redeem himself by catching a brand new guitar before smashing it. King stated, “We would like to give him [the photographer] a shot at redemption of catching a guitar,” before the photographer successfully caught the instrument. The metal artist jokingly added, “Turning my photographer into a guitar-catching king” in the caption.

In other metal music news, Slipknot appears to be planning to release new music. The speculation of new material comes after the band has teased a new drummer. Metal fans are eagerly anticipating the release of new songs from the iconic group.
