The supernatural third-person shooter game “Children of the Sun” has announced that it will be launching on PC on April 9. Developed by René Rother and published by Devolver Digital, the game follows a protagonist known only as The Girl, who is on a mission to take revenge on the cult that destroyed her life. Players guide a single bullet to hit multiple targets in each level with “ruthless precision,” as the game grows in complexity.
As players progress through the game, they will learn more about the story of the shadowy cult and its crimes committed under the leadership of its enigmatic leader. The dark, Americana art style, alongside the inclusion of leaderboard high scores, looks set to keep players coming back for a long time.
In February 2024, a demo for the game was released for players to explore the game world ahead of the release date. The demo allows players to stalk the map, tag cultists, and plan the bullet’s journey for maximum impact. While the game is not yet slated to release on consoles, PC players can enjoy the game in just a few short weeks.
