Marilyn Manson announces first tour since sexual abuse allegations

Marilyn Manson has announced his much-anticipated return to live performance with a North American tour supporting Five Finger Death Punch. It marks the artist’s first live performance since 2019. Alongside Manson, controversial deathcore act Slaughter to Prevail is also set to open for the main act. However, its frontman Alex Terrible is also known for his transphobic and homophobic remarks.

The official announcement of Manson’s return to the live stage comes after the singer was accused of sexual assault and misconduct by his ex-fiancĂ© Evan Rachel Wood and more than 12 other women in February 2021. Marilyn Manson has denied all these accusations. In March 2022, Manson filed a defamation case against Wood, which the court mostly dismissed in May the same year. Some aspects of the lawsuit are still pending before the court.

Earlier in 2023, Manson was found responsible for paying over $480,000 in legal fees. It was in relation to a lawsuit filed by Ashley Walters, who was Manson’s former assistant. She accused Manson of sexual assault and violence during her time working with him. Some of the other accusers include Game Of Thrones actress Esme Bianco and ex-girlfriend Ashley Morgan Smithline.

Jane Doe is another individual who accused Manson of sexual assault in September 2023. The case was, however, settled before going on trial.
