Southwark Park in London will host the Rally Music and Arts Festival this August, now in its second year. The lineup includes electronic duo Mount Kimbie, Call Super, Lena Willikens, Moopie and DJ Marcelle. The team behind the event also stages the Gala festvial in nearby Peckham Rye and has formed partnerships with the Tate and the Southbank Centre. This year’s festival is expected to “highlight the impact of creative collaboration on cultural, social, and artistic development” according to a press release. The festival will also have NTS as a new collaborator.
Pre-sale tickets go on sale this Friday (8 March) via the Rally website. Mount Kimbie’s latest album, The Sunset Violent, is due for release in April and the London performance will be their first Festival appearance in seven years. Rally describes itself “inspired by DIY culture [and] celebrating the importance of community”. Last year’s edition welcomed Leon Vynehall back-to-back Yu Su and Space Afrika, according to organisers.
