An 18-year-old man from Tooting, named Keymarni King, has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life or enabling another to do so. The incident occurred on Clapham Common South Side in South London on Friday evening. Two women were injured by a shotgun pellet fired from a moped being chased by officers, and a third person sustained injuries after being hit by the moped.
Following the incident, Mr King was also charged with two counts of wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, aggravated vehicle taking and injury caused by an accident. Bromley Magistrates’ Court will be overseeing his hearing.
The injured pedestrian and two women have already been released from the hospital, according to the Metropolitan Police. They are continuing to search for the second suspect, and an inquiry is ongoing into the incident. The moped was ridden by two people who reportedly refused to stop before it collided with a pedestrian and a firearm was dropped and discharged when it hit the ground.
