Nick Cave launches mysterious countdown clock

Nick Cave, the musician known for his work with The Bad Seeds, has launched a mysterious 24-hour countdown on his website. Fans have begun to speculate what the countdown could be for. The clock will end at 17:15 GMT on March 6th, which is 12:15 ET/ 9:15 PT in the United States.

Some fans think the countdown could signal a new album, as Cave confirmed he was starting the writing process in Q&A session last October, and he also mentioned he had finished recording the new album last July. In a recent interview with NME, Cave stated the new music was “just so instantly interesting” and “different all the time”.

It is also possible the countdown is leading up to the announcement of another project Cave is working on. He is scoring the upcoming Amy Winehouse biopic “Back to Black”, which is due for release in the UK on April 12th. Additionally, there is an upcoming television adaptation of Cave’s 2009 novel “The Death of Bunny Munro”, with former Doctor Who star Matt Smith taking on the title role.

Despite the speculation, no one knows definitively what the countdown marks. Fans will have to wait until March 6th to find out what Nick Cave has in store
