After the sad news of Richard Lewis’ passing on February 28, television networks are now paying tributes to the actor. Lewis, best known for his role in ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’, died at the age of 76 due to a heart attack which occurred at his abode in Los Angeles. Apart from ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’, Lewis also lent his voice for the character of Male Golem in ‘Treehouse Of Horror XVII’, an episode of the iconic animated series ‘The Simpsons’. In support of the late actor, the show also displayed a title card showcasing Lewis’ character along with a picture of him in the signature style of ‘The Simpsons’.
David, who was friends with Lewis for a long time and had also worked with him on ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’, expressed his grief over the loss. He shared how their friendship started from the hospital where they were born three days apart and mentioned how Lewis was like a brother to him. David further added how unique Lewis’ personality was due to his wit and kindness and how he could make him laugh and cry at the same time.
