Archives, a new Tottenham Hale venue, has opened with the capacity to hold 1,600 people. The venue has already hosted club nights, including a Plastician event last month, and its official launch is slated to take place today with a SlapFunk Records takeover. Built as part of the High Cross Business Centre by developers Purpose Group, the venue is on the ground floor and available to hire for brand events, music video productions, and private parties, as well as club nights. The space is part of a six-storey warehouse industrial complex that houses music studios, a rock climbing centre and creative spaces among other features.
Its official launch will feature Carista and Samuel Deep headlining with sets from Laidlaw (UK), Phone Traxxx Live and label resident DouDou MD. The SlapFunk Records freedom special event will run from 10:00 pm on Friday 1 to 6:00 am on Saturday 2 March. SlapFunk Records said in a statement posted on its website that this special gathering will take place at the industrial underground setting of Archive, which we feel is perfect for the SlapFunk vibe.

It’s becoming increasingly common for event spaces to be part of multi-functional complexes that offer a range of creative and utilitarian features under one roof. This model appears to offer a flexible use option and also enables these spaces to operate within communities as both client and collaborator. Achieving this combination of efficiency and community is a particular skill of this generation of developers.
Archives, Purpose Group and all the organisations that make up the High Cross Business Centre, represents an impressive example of the strong creative and community values that are emerging in the Tottenham Hale area
