38-year-old Hollywood star, Bradley Cooper has revealed that his daughter, Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper, saved him from death. The actor made the revelation on an episode of the Armchair Expert podcast with host Dax Shepard. He disclosed that the arrival of his daughter gave him the much-needed realisation that he needed to slow down in life. Cooper spoke about the incident, stating, “I just needed someone to say, like, ‘We’re gonna drop this massive anchor,’ I’m like, ‘Why? We’re speeding!’ I just got an upgrade on the boat, and I know where the wind’s coming in,’ They’re like, ‘No, no, no, there’s a tsunami coming in, and you need an anchor, and we’re gonna drop it. Because this is going to dictate everything you do from now on. Your DNA is going to tell you that there’s something more important than you.’”
Cooper has been open about his struggles with addiction in the past, but since the birth of his daughter, he has been able to overcome it. Lea, who is six years old, was born to Cooper and Irina Shayk in March 2017. The couple were together from 2015 to 2019. Bradley also recalled an “insane” incident where he was held at knifepoint while picking up his daughter from school in New York City. He stated that the episode was “pretty insane” and that he had gotten way too comfortable in the city, making his guard down.

He said: “I thought about Adele for a while,” before adding the plans “never even took off at all”. However, Lady Gaga eventually landed the role which saw her win multiple awards. Beyonce had initially been given the role but had to drop out of the project.
Cooper is also known for his role as Leonard Bernstein in the recently released Netflix biopic ‘Maestro’. He was also the director of the movie and had faced criticism for wearing a prosthetic nose while playing Bernstein. Cooper defended his decision, stating that his nose is remarkably similar to Bernstein’s and that the prosthetic was like a silk sheet. According to Cooper, the prosthetic was appealing since his lips and chin were nothing like Leonard Bernstein’s, which would have made his performance difficult
