Chicago-based nightclub, Smartbar, has announced that The Blessed Madonna will return as a guest resident in 2024. The DJ shared her excitement on Twitter, writing that she will “kiss the floorboards in front of the Left Front Speaker very soon.” Other guest residents revealed for 2024 include DJ Seinfield, Eris Drew, and Ron Trent.
The nightclub posted to Instagram yesterday with a photo of The Blessed Madonna, announcing her return, with the caption “We are so excited to welcome the Blessed Madonna back home.” The Blessed Madonna was a long-time resident at the venue and eventually became the first female talent booker for Smartbar. As a pro-LGBTQ+ venue, Smartbar has welcomed an inclusive program of celebrated house DJs.
“The reshaping of the resident’s program in my tenure as talent buyer at Smartbar is a source of pride for me. Smartbar continues to exceed my dreams and let me come home,” wrote The Blessed Madonna on Twitter. She released her first single of the year, ‘Happier’, on February 2, featuring Clementine Douglas.
