‘House Against Hate’ anti-racism march announced for London

The House Against Hate, a protest rave march against racism, is set to take place in central London next month. Organized as a mobile protest by R3 Soundsystem and Black Artist Database, the march will coincide with the United Nations’ Anti-Racism Day on March 16. The event will see a number of artists and DJs come together to protest the “genocide-enabling contingent in the UK establishment” and demand that the country stops harbouring hate. The march has gained the support of groups such as Stand Up To Racism UK and Love Music Hate Racism, among others.

The parade will see The Blessed Madonna, Hot Chip, and Normski perform DJ sets, while DJ Gideon, one of the organisers, has promised a mobile protest unit will be “hitting the streets of London along with thousands of demonstrators to protest against the racist, xenophobic, transphobic, anti-immigrant, genocide enabling contingent in the UK establishment.” Participants of the protest are encouraged to bring friends, loudhailers and anything necessary to “kick-start the revolution” and donate money to the event to support Medical Aid For Palestinians (MAP).

IDLES and Enter Shikari recently expressed solidarity with Palestine at their shows in Brixton and Wembley Arena respectively. At a time when the Conservative UK government is ratcheting up its anti-immigration stance, the US is being faced with a second Trump bid, and Israel’s genocide continues without any opposition from UK Labour, the UK establishment is being called out and asked to take action towards stopping hate, and promote anti-racism.

The House Against Hate protest rave is expected to bring together several thousand demonstrators to march together demanding that the country comes forward in a united fight against xenophobia, transphobia, and racism. The mobile protest event aims to support the rising numbers of marginalized groups and create a safe space for all participants to rally behind the cause. The protest aims to unify members of the community and spread the message of anti-racism globally
