Iceland Airwaves, the music festival that celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, has announced its performer lineup for the 2024 edition of the event. The festival is set to run from November 7-9 in downtown Reykjavik. Some of the artists set to perform include Shygirl, Bar Italia, Charlotte Adigéry, Bolis Pupul, Joy (Anonymous), Saya Gray, Magdalena Bay, Anish Kumar, Inspector Spacetime, Úlfur Úlfur, Klemens Hannigan and more. Festival Manager, Ísleifur Þórhallsson said that “It is an honour to continue to bring new talent to Reykjavik, and share our beloved Icelandic community with the world.”
The festival will feature weekend and single-day passes for purchase on the official website, along with travel bundles that include flights, accommodation and a festival pass. There are conference passes available for those interested in attending, which is organised in collaboration with Iceland Music, Reykjavík Music City and Business Iceland. The festival started twenty-five years ago and has been essential in the careers of many talented artists.
Last year’s edition of the festival saw performances from popular artists like Yard Act, Blondshell, Bombay Bicycle Club, Kneecap, Squid, The GOA Express, Balming Tiger and Lime Garden. NME described Iceland Airwaves as a festival that taps into the culture and heritage of Reykjavík by booking some of the most exploratory new names worldwide.
