Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium announce The Poisoned Ascendancy joint UK tour for 2025

Two of metal’s most popular bands, Bullet For My Valentine and Trivium, have announced they will be embarking on a joint UK arena tour in 2025 titled ‘The Poisoned Ascendancy’. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of both Bullet For My Valentine’s ‘The Poisoned’ LP and Trivium’s ‘Ascendancy’ album, it will see both bands playing each album in its entirety. The first show will take place at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff on January 26, 2025, before heading to Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, and wrapping up at The O2 in London on February 1, 2025. General ticket sales will commence on March 1, 2025, at 10 am local time.

“I feel so proud of what we’ve achieved as a band in the last two decades, and it all started with that debut album. The Poison is such an important part of our lives musically and personally, and we know the massive impact it had on the metal world on a global level,” said BFMV frontman Matt Tuck in a press release. Trivium frontman Matt Heafy added, “Bullet For My Valentine’s ‘The Poison’ and Trivium’s ‘Ascendancy’ are two records whose influence can be heard to this day – in the DNA of modern metal.”

In other Trivium news, Matt Heafy confirmed last year that the American band had no current plans to work on new music and were apparently ready to take a hiatus following a 2023 tour. “This time, when this tour cycle ends, we’re gonna take a true break, and instead of working on music, we’re actually gonna work on building our Hangar studio, so that way when it comes time to make records, we can do that again,” he said at the time. “But there are currently no plans for a new record. And I’m not being deceitful there. There’s no plans right now.”

This news comes two days after both bands posted the same format of nine photos onto their respective Instagram accounts hinting at a new announcement. The photos made up the album covers for Trivium’s second studio album ‘Ascendancy’ and Bullet For My Valentine’s debut LP ‘The Poison’
