After rumours of his upcoming performance at Glastonbury began to circulate, Liam Gallagher quickly took to social media to shoot down any speculation. The singer seemingly confirmed a slot with John Squire at the festival in a tweet that simply read “Yeah”. However, just a day later, he wrote, “I never said I was playing GLASTONBURY every body COOL OUT”. Denying speculation that he would perform at the upcoming BRIT Awards, Gallagher ranted “I never said I was playing the Brit’s” on Twitter.

Gallagher and former Stone Roses guitarist John Squire will soon release their self-titled joint album on March 1, after which they will embark on a joint tour in March. However, Noel won’t be joining his brother as he performs his 30th-anniversary tour of ‘Definitely Maybe’ in June 2024.

At that time, he will be performing in cities across the UK, such as Sheffield, Cardiff, Glasgow, Dublin and London, multiple times. Fans can get tickets on Ticketmaster’s website. In addition to this tour, Gallagher will headline a four-day festival in Malta, where he will also invite various artists to perform. With regards to the Glastonbury rumours, Gallagher has now confirmed that these were nothing more than rumours and there is no booking for him to perform at the festival.
