Amazon Prime Video’s new series, The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy will see all five Culkin brothers acting together for the first time. Macaulay, Kieran, Rory, Christian and Shane will appear in an episode that sees Kieran’s character Dr. Plowp sharing a holiday with his new partner. His other brothers show up and all seem very invested in Dr. Sleech’s emotional state, until she accidentally slips down a garbage chute. The episode is part of the eight-episode series that also stars Sam Smith, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Natasha Lyonne.

The Culkin siblings have rarely performed together, as their careers have taken them in different directions. The deceased sister Dakota Culkin was hit by a car in 2008, whilst their half-sister Jennifer Adamson died of a drug overdose in 2000. All eight episodes of The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy series are set to premiere on Prime Video on February 23.

Kieran, an actor in the Succession series, revealed recently that his brother Macaulay felt that he had “fucked my life” when he became famous. “What happened to him as a little kid was very unpleasant…This is never what I wanted. I wanted to be an actor and do interesting work, and now I’m f***ing famous.” Kieran said.

Created by Cirocco Dunlap, the synopsis of the series is as follows: “In Season One of The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy, doctors Sleech and Klak take on a highly dangerous and potentially groundbreaking case and, in doing so, put existence itself in jeopardy. Although considering their dismal personal lives, oblivion might be an improvement.” The series also stars other famous people like Bowen Yang and Abbi Jacobson.

The Culkins are all professional child actors, and their careers have taken different directions since then. They have rarely acted together in a TV series or movie, marking The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy as a historic moment in their careers
