Julio Bashmore, known for his buoyant house music, will be dropping a new track titled “Sprungboard” which is set to debut on Defected sub-label Classic Music Company. Scheduled for release on February 23, the track incorporates choppy vocals, percussion, and distorted synths that build to a rising crescendo. According to Bashmore, the track is already in the playlists of well-established DJs such as Honey Dijon and Joy Orbison.
This new release follows his single “Bubblin,” which marked Bashmore’s first solo release under his moniker in eight years. Whilst debuting his 2009 album “Knockin’ Boots,” the Bristol-born artist became popular in the 2010s, with hits such as “Au Seve” and “Battle for Middle You” before seemingly taking a hiatus from releasing new music. During this time, Bashmore released a handful of songs under the alias Bash.
Bashmore promoted his upcoming track “Sprungboard” on Instagram and teased the track’s release, greatly exciting his fans who warmly welcomed his return. Recently, Glitterbox tweeted a video of a b2b between Chloe Caillet and Eli Iwasa featuring the new track, captioned “New Music Alert.”
